Circumz has 14 modules, and no business needs all of them. This guide gives you a sensible starting set, explains the dependencies, and suggests an order. Modules are switched on per company, and adding one later reads records you already have.

How the modules are grouped

Core: CRM, Sales, Inventory, Procurement, Finance, Accounting and HR. These suit any business.

Industry packs: Projects (contracting), Fleet and Logistics (transport), Retail, Leasing (real estate), Agriculture (crops and livestock) and Manpower (workforce supply).

Starting sets by business type

These are the presets used when a company is set up. Treat them as a starting point and adjust.

Add HR when you run payroll

HR is not in most presets, because many companies run payroll elsewhere. Add it when you want payroll, leave and attendance in the same place as the work, or if you run Manpower, which requires it. HR can post payroll to the ledger when Accounting is on.

Order of adoption

  1. The records: customers, suppliers, items, warehouses. Clean these first, because every module reads them.
  2. The flow of documents: Sales and Procurement, with Inventory if you carry stock.
  3. Money: Finance, running alongside your current invoicing for one cycle.
  4. Books: Accounting, once invoices and bills are flowing. See the accounting go-live guide.
  5. The industry module your business is built around, and HR and payroll.

A common mistake is switching everything on in week one. The result is a long setup list and nobody trusting the first numbers. One module at a time, with a month of real use, gives better data than ten modules with no discipline.

Questions that decide a module

Do you carry stock? If yes, Inventory is the base for Procurement, Retail and Agriculture. If you only sell services, you can skip it.

Do you run jobs with a budget? Projects. If you sell a scope of work that costs money to deliver, you need it. If you invoice monthly retainers, you may not.

Do you bill by the hour for supplied workers? Manpower, which also needs HR.

Do you issue tax invoices to consumers? Retail receipts are not tax invoices. Read the Retail page before deciding.

Do you operate outside one country? Currency and tax are company settings, not modules. See the currency and tax guide.

When to ask us

If you are between two sets, or your business combines two (a trader with a retail shop, a contractor with a transport arm), tell us how the work flows and we will recommend. The demo form is the quickest route.
